My work is an exploration of light, medium, and the delicate textures of the natural world. I am drawn to the fleeting moments where atmosphere transforms a subject—whether it is the translucent glow of a thin beach at sunset or the velvet depth of a rose in bloom.

Through a diverse range of techniques, I seek to reveal the inherent spirit of my subjects. In my coastal studies, I utilize thick impasto strokes to capture the energy of the tide and salt air. Conversely, my floral works often employ the historical technique of oil on copper. By layering pigments over a metallic substrate, I harness the copper’s natural warmth to create an internal luminosity, allowing the roses to appear lit from within.

Whether working on the expansive horizon or the intimate folds of a petal, my practice is a constant search for balance between stability and ephemerality. Each piece serves as an archival record of a temporary sensation, inviting the viewer to pause and experience the stillness found in these shifting environments.
